Cortado
Full identity and packaging system for a Lisbon micro-roastery, spanning bag design, signage, and a barcode-free retail system.

Cortado's founders wanted to skip the reclaimed-wood, hand-lettered coffee-brand cliché entirely. The brief was one line: "make it feel like it was designed by someone who studied engineering, not agriculture."
The resulting system uses a single geometric wordmark, three roast-coded silhouettes, and a packaging die-line that lets the bag double as a pour-over stand once opened. Color coding replaced text-heavy labels so baristas could sort inventory at a glance during rush service.
The identity has run unchanged across two retail locations and one wholesale line since launch.
